These photos (and text) originally appeared on

after The Johnny Favourite Swing Orchestra made their Toronto debut. The
band was one of that year's major buzz acts (the other was Jay Englishman's Tomorrow The World)
and the show (a Chart Magazine showcase at The Horseshoe was PACKED!
These shots were taken with the original Sony Mavica (my first digital camera)
and badly optimized for the web with (I think) JASC Software's Paint Shop
Pro (the best digital imaging software I had access to at the time). You can

The Johnny Favourite Swing Orchestra live at The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto for the NXNE Festival June 13, 1998. The drinks were cold, the joint was hopping and the musicians were on fire under the steaming lights. We danced all night long, then went home and ... (: It was a night to remember.
